How to measure

Waist: Standing, wrap a measuring tape around the smallest part of your torso - this is typically just above the hip bones, in line with your belly button. Ensure the measuring tape is laying flat across your body and isn't digging in or gapping.

Stand normally, take a few deep breaths, then record the measurement, rounding to the nearest half-inch.

Hip: Standing, wrap a measuring tap around the fullest part of your bum/ hip - this is typically ~8-9" below your waist measurement and 1"-2" above your crotch. Ensure the measuring tape is laying flat across your body and isn't digging in or gapping.

Stand normally, take a few deep breaths, then record the measurement, rounding to the nearest half-inch.

Why is the body measurement and garment measurement different?

The body measurement is the standard measurement that we use when designing our pieces. From there, we add 'ease' to the garment to ensure that it will fit properly as you walk, run, strut, sit, skip, jump, and dance.

The garment measurement is maximum body measurement that that size will fit, but we recommend choosing a size in which the garment measurement is slightly larger than your actual body measurement.
